Zaineb Akbarally
Board Member of Plant
Zaineb is passionate about and an advocate for environmental sustainability and wildlife conservation- and has experience in driving a cross-section of projects, including biodiversity, community-driven and multi-sectoral engagement projects within both the not-for-profit and private sector. She has an MSc in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics and was a post-graduate fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, UK.
She was previously the Chairperson of the WNPS Youth Wing, playing an instrumental role in developing the Youth Wing program and integrating a three-pronged approach of learning about, learning in, and acting for the environment among school children across Sri Lanka. She was a Vice President of the WNPS, and one of the leading drivers within PLANT.
